Preset’s External Referral Program
Refer a friend, colleague, or neighbor for the Preset External Referral Bonus Program and you could receive a one-time referral payment of $1,000. The program is open to persons unaffiliated with our business to assist Preset in attracting, hiring, and retaining the very best talent in the United States in a tight technology job market.
To participate in the Program and submit a referral, you must be an individual (i.e., not a business entity) and a legal resident of the United States who is at least 18 years of age. Please review the Program terms and conditions to ensure both you as the referrer and your candidate meet the Program rules.

Terms and Conditions
The External Referral Bonus Program (the “Program”) offers a one-time referral payment to persons unaffiliated with Preset, to help Preset attract, hire, and retain the very best talent in the United States. Effective August 15, 2022, referrals are valid for 12 months from the date of submittal. That is, if you refer someone who begins work within 12 months of your referral, and you and the referred employee meet the other Program qualifications, you earn the Bonus.
II. Individuals eligible for an external referral payment
You must be an individual person (i.e., not a business entity) and a legal resident of the United States who is at least 18 years of age to participate in the Program.
III. Individuals not eligible for an external referral payment
The following persons are not eligible to participate in this program:
Current Preset employees
Staffing/recruiting agency personnel or consultants, or any employee or consultant of a third party to whom Preset has paid compensation within the past two years, or is contractually obligated to pay, a fee for the hiring of an individual referred by, or working for or with, such third-party
IV. Non-eligible candidates
You are not eligible for an external referral payment if the candidate you refer is a:
Candidate who has already been referred by a current Preset employee
Current applicant to Preset (if they have applied to Preset within the 6 months before the date of your referral)
Candidate to whom Preset has already reached out to regarding a potential employment opportunity
Recent or current contractor, temporary worker, consultant, or individual who otherwise received payment from Preset
Provider of services to Preset (if they have provided services to Preset in the last 12 months)
Former Preset employee
Family member of a current Preset employee
Any entity (the Program is for natural individuals)
V. Payment terms
If you are eligible to participate in the Program, Preset shall pay you a one-time referral payment in the amount of $1,000 (gross) for a referral, if the referral results in a successful regular full-time hire, and such referred employee:
Acknowledges he or she was referred by you
Completes 75 days of continuous, active employment with Presets in good standing (re: performance) and still employed at Preset at the end of such 75-day period
Was hired for an external referral Program-eligible position
Preset will process the external referral Bonus within 15 days after the referred employee completes the 60 days of employment mentioned above, and the required paperwork has been submitted. Payments will be made on a 1099 basis and paid by company check from Preset.
VI. Process to refer candidates
Referral information should be submitted directly via email by sending required information to firstname.lastname@example.org within a single email. Referrals submitted that do not include all of the required information, or that are not properly identified will NOT be eligible for this Program. To be eligible for an external referral bonus, you must provide the following at the time of your initial submission:
Your name and contact information (phone number and email address)
Your physical address so that we can send you a check if you earn the Bonus
The potential candidate’s full name
The potential candidate’s contact information (phone number and email address)
Your relationship to the potential candidate
The job of interest to which you are referring the potential candidate
Note: One candidate per submission. If the referred candidate appears to be a match, we will contact him or her. The referred candidate must acknowledge that you referred him or her, and then we will ask him or her to apply online through the Preset careers website.
VII. Tax Liability
External referral bonuses are paid pre-tax (gross) from Preset. You are solely responsible for paying appropriate state and federal taxes on any payment received. If required, Preset will report referral Bonus payments to the appropriate tax authorities.
VIII. Additional information, rules, and guidelines
Positions qualified for the Preset external referral bonus Program are listed on the external referral Program page, and new positions are added periodically
In the event that more than one external person who meets the Program qualifications refers the same candidate and such candidate is hired by Preset, the external referral bonus will be awarded to the first referrer based on the timestamp of the submittal (and acknowledgment to Preset by the candidate). You must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time you make a referral to participate.
You must reside in the United States and have a valid social security number to participate.
The terms and conditions of this external referral bonus program are subject to change or termination at any time and in Preset’s sole discretion (provided that if you meet the qualifications to participate and the Bonus is earned, you will be paid, even if the Program is modified or terminated after your referral is made).
You agree that Preset’s total liability under this agreement for any cause of action relating to the subject matter of this agreement (regardless of the nature of such claim) is the lesser of your actual, direct damages or $1,000.
